I founded Titrant Technical Consulting (TTC) in Calgary with a clear mission, to help businesses solve complex technical problems with clarity, precision, and trust. With over a decade of experience in the energy and specialty chemicals industry, I have worked extensively across the upstream oil and gas sector, supporting operations in cementing, drilling, stimulation, fracturing, completions, water treatment, and remediation. I’ve seen firsthand how the right expertise, delivered at the right time, can drive performance, reduce costs, and ultimately make all the difference in a projects success.

At TTC, I bring both a hands-on laboratory background and field-proven expertise. My work has included:

• Designing and testing various chemical products and formulations utilized in fracturing and coiled tubing operations such as high-viscosity friction reducers (HVFRs), scale inhibitors, cross-linkers, acid packages, corrosion inhibitors, clay stabilizers, gellants, biocides, surfactants, metal lubricants, breakers, etc.

• Formulating and troubleshooting fluids utilized for drilling, cementing, milling, bitumen mining, remediation, and stimulation operations, working with major oil and gas operators and producers in Alberta.

• Conducting advanced laboratory analysis of chemical products and formulations using tools such as rheology (Brookfield PVS, Ofite 900), FTIR spectroscopy, XRD, and water chemistry assessments for scaling tendency and corrosion via Atomic Emission Spectroscopy.

• Supporting product development, leading new product formulation, raw material sourcing, performance validation testing and prototyping for deployment for field trials, ensuring chemical systems are technically sound and cost-effective.

Beyond chemistry, TTC also provides expertise in technical documentation authoring, and business intelligence. I have authored Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product data sheets, technical proposals, and client-ready reports, ensuring regulatory compliance and clarity across diverse stakeholders. In addition, I leverage platforms such as Power BI and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive operational and business performance.

As a recognized Subject Matter Expert with ASET, I have also mentored several emerging professionals, technologists, chemists, engineers, and business leaders, sharing practical knowledge and fostering technical growth. I always champion a safety first culture, leading safety programs, conducting safety audits and driving continuous improvement.
